If you have Ghost - you really do have everything. I have family, friends, cosplay, music, love, and of course... merch. I don't care if I win, I just want to talk about some of the amazing things that have happened in my life because I got into Ghost and show off my pride vest for Prequelle (Pridequelle). I traveled across the country for the first time because of Ghost with two amazing friends to go to California in 2024. I have endless amounts of fun and joy from cosplaying, I've made so many memories with good people. I met my boyfriend through instagram because of our cosplays, and we've been together for well over a year now. I am integrated into his family, his younger siblings and parents always look forward to me visiting. His dad thinks the face paint and devil masks are a little weird, but he doesn't care because he knows we're having fun together. There is a true sense of community within the corner of the Ghost fandom I've found, everyone is supportive, compassionate, and kind. I started to work on resin masks and met an amazing artist, we have a fantastic group of other artists and creators that keep me grounded and sane. I was able to go meet one of my closest internet friends (the artist) for the first time this year and work on masks with him in his garage because I was introduced to Ghost in 2023. I lost 150+ pounds over the course of two years and Ghost was a big motivator for me to keep going on my journey. The music brought me out of my depression, lifted my spirits, and thus gave me the energy to keep going. I no longer have sleep apnea because of the amount of weight I lost, my right knee that had a ligament replaced no longer hurts, and I am much happier in my skin. The fandom and community has been the reason my mental health has been so stable, and that for the first time in a very long time I've been able to be creative again. I stopped cosplaying because people were bullying me over my weight, but this band brought the pleasure of cosplaying back into my life.
