I've always loved music and cosplay since I was young. As I got older I slowly started to fall into a slump and hadn't had much motivation to continue working and furthering my skills like I had before. That all changed when I saw Ghost for the first time in 2023. I was more of a casual fan then, but that music, the art, and the crowd lit a fire in me that hadn't burned in years. Later that year I started working on my own Impera ghoul cosplay and I started getting back into playing music more intensely than ever learning as many songs on as many instruments as I possibly could. Since then I've gone on to work on my own personal projects actoss various media, and I have this band, art, and amazing community to thank for it. I have always been a huge proponent of DIY and self-expression. For me, winning this would be a symbol of the incredible beauty and art that comes out of the collision of passion, joy, and community for something as unique and inspirational as this band is. If I win, I hope it helps people like me who may be in a slump or a hard spot like I was. It gets better. <3
