Already dressed for the party.. you know..the party. In all seriousness, I didn't want to copy any one particular existing look but rather design something of my own, so it feels like a worthy contendor for a costume contest. I ran with the fantastical disco feeling theme of Dance Macabre and Papa's affinity for dazzling outfits. Started with a plain black store bought dress, and made the flounce sleeves completely from scratch to sew on, carefully adding gold accents that match Papa Nihil's robes. I ironed/sewed the patch on the back and hand stitched on each one of the crystals underneath it (in a way, mirroring the pyro of the stage shows). On the front, I cut away and restitched lace paneling and black crystals for some corset looking elegant accents, and then came gluing on the 1500ish individual red crystals for blood splatter. Glued crystals to mesh for the face accents and made a scarf from the same material I used on the lace panels. I had a great time creating it regardless of the outcome.
